"We looked in the market; we found out there are many vendors who are offering identity management solutions out of which we felt that the three vendors who would be able to meet are requirement the one being, 1st one being IBM, 2nd one being Sun Microsystems, 3rd one being Novell. So we went ahead and issued the art before all these vendors and then we did a pilot umm.. using the solutions the that were recommended by each of these vendors and after the pilot we selected one of the vendor, that was IBM, the other three things we were looking at were usability from end user perspective it means that how easy it is to use the solutions, the interfaces, the ability to customize the solution and the support that is being provided in India as well as worldwide from the vendor. Based on these criteria's we went ahead and decided on IBM"
