I participated in the first Tea Party in 2007.
We are not going anywhere, all my pot smoking friends are joining in.
Ron Paul for the long haul, get used to it.

Juicy and spicy commentary there! Haha, nice one mate! I totally agree. Ron Paul has some good things to say but he's simply part of the rotten establishment.

Oh, I forgot to say, you will never be able to change the USA in a way which benefits its citizens (the people) so long as any proposed change can be labeled as socialism. It's a nasty rhetorical trap. People believe what they want to believe. Before Obama even took over people were comparing him to Adolf Hitler.
I can't explain it, other than to compare it to the groupthink of cults - not saying in any way that all those who disagree with Obama fall into this category, but many do.

These people don't fear socialism. They fear the label of socialism. In the mind of many Americans, after decades of propaganda, "socialism" conjures up the image of one thing: The Soviet Union.
So, the head propagandists label anything they don't like "socialism" and paranoid and generally not very bright Americans fall in line (there are also educated opponents of the modern understanding of socialism, but they are much more rare).

The "teabaggers" are similar to the "chavs" in the UK right? The Ron Paul followers are little children saying "The Government is not the boss of me!!!"... when the government either represents money and power or we the people... if we wake up and make some noise. If we don't take money from the system and provide a standard of health care and education... it will all go to the pentagon and to big energy and drug companies. Ron Paul's fantasy world isn't even a choice.

Since they're so afraid of Obama and "socialism" I suggest that there leaders should promise to abolish Social Security and Medi-Care. Those are, after all, two pretty socialist programs. I wonder how many Americans (even very conservative ones) would want that? 2 or 3 per cent? Hypocrites.
problem is socialism isnt a bad word in america any more.
