"MARY & TIM" Starring: Candice Bergen & Thomas McCarthy

I absolutely adore this movie and couldn't help but make a video to it. The movie stars Candice Bergen
and Thomas Mccarthy. It is based on the novel "Tim", about a love that develops between a mentally challenged young man and the older, lonely widow who takes him under her wing. It is a remake of the 1979 film "Tim", which starred Mel Gibson. I personally like this one much more than the original. The film is relevant to Bergen at a time in her life when she had just lost her husband, director Louis Malle, who died a year before "Mary & Tim" was released. I think the song fits both the movie and Bergen's life experiences which is why I chose to use it. I hope you enjoy it and please, don't forget to rate, comment, favorite, and subscribe!

I agree this is the best tribute for a movie I've seen. Brilliantly edited, love that you included dialogue and the choice of song really sold it too. The downside to liking this so much - I want to see the movie, NEED to see the movie, and I can't get a copy of it anywhere! I live in the UK and the only second hand copies I can come across online are Region 1 only :( Has anyone managed to find it anywhere online or know how to get a Region 2 DVD copy?

@rosieposie41 Last time I checked it was available to watch instantly on Netflix. You might want to look there if you have an account. Other than that I don't know where you can see it, unless it is shown on tv.

Also, might I add that this is the best tribute I have ever seen, to anything, EVER?? I've watched it at least ten times a day since I discovered it. I found a DVD online, and my mom hates buying ANYTHING, but after one viewing of this - ONE - she said, direct quote, "the answer is yes." It is... it is gorgeous and phenomenal and heartbreaking and uplifting AND HAS CANDICE BERGEN OMG and is just... just... okay, gonna go watch it again now.

The fact that he kept after Mary until she said yes was touching. However, my favorite part was at the end, when he was reading a section from The Wind in the Willows to Mary. That was simply beautiful.

After seeing this video, I had to see the movie. I watched the older one that's on youtube but I wanted to see the updated version. It took me a day to find it but I'm glad I looked. There are things in the original version I liked but the 1996 was better. I like how they made Tim more mature and yet, very innocent.
