Introducing iRig Mic, the first quality condenser hand held microphone for the iPhone®, iPod touch® and iPad® and VocaLive, the ultimate vocal effects app.

C.J. Pierce of Drowning Pool and IK Multimedia's Starr Ackerman show you what you can do with IK's 2 new releases iRig and VocaLive.

With the iRig Mic, you can make quality vocal and audio recordings anywhere for your iOS device. It is ideal for the singer, vocalist and songwriter on the move, but also perfect for recording speeches, instruments, performances or any other sound sources in the studio, on stage or in the field.

With VocaLive, singers and songwriters will have a suite of 5 dedicated real-time vocal effects (pitch correction, choir harmonizer, voice doubler, vocal morpher and de-esser) plus 7 effects tailored to vocal processing (reverb, EQ, compressor, delay, envelope filter, chorus, phazer) that can be combined on a 3-processor vocal rig chain. VocaLive also includes dozens of presets to help you get up and running in seconds, ios

  • I just bought the iRig mic to use with my iPad 2 and a vocaLive, but it doesn't work without the headphone. Why? Isn't there a way to make everyone in the room hear me while i'm using the iRig mic? Do people in the demo videos use external speakers? How can we hear them?

  • @tnucocca Yes you can use the 1/8" out to go to speakers, PA, mixer, amp, etc. Best cable would be 1/8" stereo to DUAL 1/4" mono when going to amp, PA, mixer

  • They spelled "Drowning" wrong...

  • @GillelejeAnders I've alerted the right people, good catch

  • why can't I ever hear the audio in the videos when they're using the Mic?

At first I thought it was my computer but it does the same thing on my iPhone.

Then I thought "oh, maybe we aren't supposed to be hearing anything? they're just using headphones?" but on a iRig demo for ipad/iphone I couldn't hear the playing and at the end they go "so as you can see, they both sound the same"

    WTFFFF :(!?!!??

  • @soadevpiPod The audio is clear, you can even hear the effects on their voices. iRig demos are also fine in that respect.

  • That sounds so funny

  • @soultronx10 Disregard my comment.

I can hear the audio now

before all vocal audio was mute for some reason. I could hear all the background noise, and intro music to this video but for some reason the vocal audio was just not there. I can hear it now though. Still don't know what the problem was, shit was weird though.
