  • Thanks for sharing this! Love the shot of the squirrel.

  • NikkouDaisuke, Thanks you for your kind words, I'm pleased you enjoyed it.

    Regards, J.

  • I have the version done by Charles Prince and the Columbia Orchestra with "Golden Hours". This was another one of those early Columbia 12" 78's released somewhere around the 1920's. I'm going to play it on my 1975 GE Wildcat.

  • MagicalWorldOfMusic, (Sorry for the delay in responding.) That must be a great recording, let me know when you put it up.

    Regards, J.

  • These are great ideas for videos! You took the old and melded it with the new. Very cool. I own a Victrola myself. I don't know if my needles are worn or if the records are worn, but yours is much clearer sounding than mine.

  • Miker2, (Sorry for the delay in responding.) Thank you for your kind words. I'm pleased you enjoy my offerings. You are using a new needle for each playing? You can only use each steel needle once.

    Regards, J.

  • Thanks for sharing this performance by a much underrated violinist who, like Kreisler, could transform a simple melody to the status of a work worthy of the concert stage.

  • Nice old song and video. The old phonograph, the park in the background, and everyone enjoying the day, has somewhat of a nostalgic look to it, like in a more simpler time when the portable phonograph was new. Your video was very relaxing to watch and to listen to

  • This is fantastic! I've had the idea to take my portable to the commons or esplanade but it looks like you beat me to it! I'm surprised I've never seen you around or I would have introduced myself as a fellow phonograph enthusiast, and I certainly would have complimented you on that nice VV-50! (also we seem to have the same fashion sense.) Love the videos, keep up the good work.
