I see the confrontation as an outsider, me being Swedish, But for all my grown-up political life, I can see no other option, than England moving out of Ireland, The nazis weren´t the first to invent and use concentration camps, it was the English, in South Africa and in Ireland. In plain Swedish then, to all you English, get the f*ck out of Northern Ireland!

Listen I'm an Irish republican. The only way to united a landmass is to unite the people who inhabit that landmass. Anti-Brit, Anti-Irish, Anti-Unionist and Anti-Republicans should fuck off! My ancestors did not die so that I could live in and continue the hatred which they fought against. Yes we have a horrible history, but the beauty about the present is that we can change the future... Is é an lá ag teacht!

@Forzabear In 1819 England withdrew the subsidy for Irish fisheries and increased the subsidies to British fishermen - with the result that Ireland's possession of one of the longest coastlines in Europe, still left it with one of the most miserable fisheries.

Why didn't the go to the poor houses? because half were to sick from fever and starvation to work half the day for the ENGLISH to feed them twice a day.Why didn't the get an education to help better them selves to travel for maybe a chance with a better job over seas?English law stated it was forbidden to receive education, forbidden to purchase land.forbidden to enter a profession

In 1571 Queen Elizabeth ordered that no cloth or stuff made in Ireland could be exported, even to England, except by English men in Ireland. The act was amended in 1663 to prohibit the use of all foreign-going ships, except those that were built in England, mastered and three-fourths manned by English, and cleared from English ports. The return cargoes had to be unloaded in England. They didn't even want us to TRY and save our selves from starvation...
