Narcotic prison is a place where effective outreach and contact with this otherwise hard to reach population can be possible. With a mixed group of HIV+ and HIV- inmates this theatre project has tackled the stigma attached to the condition of HIV/AIDS and increased the knowledge of transmission risks, reducing the barriere for individuals to be tested or to be open for positive management and prevention effort. HIV/AIDS not only affects the inmates but also their friends and family in the community.
