Um... yeah the Cuban Revolution did remove Cuba from direct control as a colony of the US. Why do you think it pissed the US off so much? They lost one of our backyard colonies they needed for cheap sugar and tobacco and casinos.

The thought of South Americans actually having control of their own affairs scares the US silly because it would mean they couldn't make super profits in their plantations and sweat shops.

@fitte6 Caused problems for Cuba? Che was sent by the goverment to socialist countries just before the sugar harvest. He's responsible for closing deals with China, Russia, and other middle eastern countries, for them to purchase millions of tonnes of sugar. The only issue casued was the deportation of the revolution to other countries.
