Fine Sound Studios, NYC, December 10, 1954 Artists: Charlie Parker (alto saxophone); Walter Bishop Jr. (piano); Billy Bauer (guitar); Teddy Kotick (bass); Art Taylor (drums)
@ilialumbroso nice ranking, altough I personally would let parker share the first place with cannonball cause he has (imo) a nicer sound and the same incredible technique, but different ideas. why have you listed coltrane as alto-player?
But in the end you can't rank great musicians at all...

You never heard Coltrane on alto ?? You should search for one , its incredible !
And My ranking is very subjective , its just to say Charlie, Cannonball and Coltrane first place, the other 2nd place wich i like very much.
