  • why wasn't I a teenager in the 90's? Seriously, I have to be one now? Why? Music sucks.-_- I'm so jealous of you 90's teens. All of my favourite movies/Shows, and of course music are from the 90's. You guys were really lucky!

  • @BinkaMinka

Yep. We sure did have gems back in the day. From Shirley Manson and her team to those rowdy boys from Seattle (RIP Kurt and Layne!)....and even RAP sounded not that half bad! Can you imagine that on today's radio? Bah!

But there's still good music out there today. All you gotta do is look. Check out Sophie Ellis Bextor/Alizee for good pop, European labels for good metal, and the classics for if you don't care about genres and age and just want a jolly good time!

  • @BinkaMinka There was just as much crap as today, you still had to dig for the gems and couldn't rely too much on radio and TV - although I'll admit MTV wasn't too bad back then. And without the Internet, it could be tough finding the gems. Having to wait for weeks before you could buy one particular album, just because your local store didn't have it, wasn't easy either.

  • @RavenOctober616 Lol, I am obviously rocking it still, getting ready to turn 29 8O) I <3 90's music!!

  • @BinkaMinka Ah, the sweet nineties. :)

  • @BinkaMinka I agree that we (those of us who were teens in the 90s) were lucky in a lot of ways. The economy was better too, and there was a lot more general optimism about the future than there is now. But there was also a dark side to it all. A lot of the organic, guitar-laden sound of 90s music came from a place of despair too, and one reason it resonated with a lot of people who were teens then was because there was a strange, pervasive sense of darkness and sadness too.

  • @MissKnowItAll26 Hear,Hear! I'm 29 and I absolutely still immerse myself with 90s nostalgia! We were so lucky!

  • @BinkaMinka I am still stuck in those times...they really were great. :)

  • celebrity gossip religion

  • this song sounds a lot like elastica

    I miss those bands

  • @BinkaMinka lol, you make me feel old, but yes we were very lucky!! I wouldn't trade my teen years in the 90s for the crap today!!

  • @BinkaMinka I'm so grateful I was :).
