this whole DL thing is bullshit. I had to suffer through this crap and NO woman deserves to go through this long line of misleading. If you're a man on the downlow, you dont need to be in a heterosexual relationship. It's not fair to the woman. This is a disgusting act. I worry that there are no good men left because of this shit. I hate it and I hate the person that did it to me. I don't know how to begin forgiveness of that.

Stop homophobia & u drastically decrease the stigma associated w/ homosexuality. Unfortunately Christianity is deeply ingrained in most black communities & homophobia is part & parcel to Xtianity. So the dilemma is 1) continue following Xtianity and vilifying gays, thereby perpetuating homophobic environment that makes them hide their true identity or 2) accept homosexuality, removing the stigma so fewer men r hiding it, but risk eternal hell. My answer: HIV is real. Hell...? Maybe, maybe not.

@ladypipedown though that I will know how to spot a gay men when I see them. But I was so wrong, I was sleeping right next to one whenever he was home! Sweetie I am so sorry that u had to go though that. I really am, I have been where u were 5yrs ago and I know how feeling as well. I was with my so call husband for 7yrs all together. Dated 2 married 5 I was young and silly girl who though everything was great. I should have known something was wrong all the signs were their, but when the DL thing was coming about in the 90's. @2:26 that's because we've always looked at black men as protector and strong individuals! Its impossible for me to look at a black man on the DL and think that he has them characteristics,the DL life style is made up of weak selfish men that wants it all know matter what or whom they hurt in the process!

I wish we lived in a society where a person could just admit that they are gay and there would not be so many men and women on the downlow. I do not believe in dl because it does hurt innocent people. There is more of this going on than you can even imagine. I worked at a closed custody prison and you would not believe how many were on the downlow. Black, Caucasian, and Hispanic. They had their boyfriends on the dl, then on the weekends their wives of girlfriends would come and visit. Shocking.

That's not how it always goes. Being gay doesn't have to be devious or cruel. Any man can be gay and he doesn't have to be tricked into experimenting in order to find his feelings or expand his career, as in this case.
And all gay men don't have HIV! Having sex w/ a black gay man doesn't naturally give u such.
Gay/bi men need to be OUT 4 their own dignity + their familys
