@Furienna I don't think its fair to say that Pom, Alexander and Flora were neglected. The children had to learn how to behave with a baby, and it's the same in real life - parents expect their children to be considerate and not disturb the baby or handle them without supervision. The kids were initially upset that they weren't getting the same attention that they used to before the baby came, but they'll understand eventually - parents and kids learn together about new babies in the family.

My absolute favorite character of youth....well, aside from Pooh and Peter Rabbit...there is something utterly lulling about these serene elephants, with their wonderful aristocratic names and lovely perfect manners.

@Furienna That's just how parenting goes. I'm not a parent yet, but I tend babies pretty much all the time when I'm not at work. Babies need so much attention and eventually, children have to learn the world doesn't revolve around them. Since babies come into the world in such a helpless state, they have to have 24-7 attention. When I'm tending my baby niece, I take her to the bathroom with me, because she can't be alone
