The Central Coast Amateur Radio Club's annual Field Day at Wyong race track is the ham radio event of the year in Australia, because it is the biggest get-together of amateur radio operators and exhibitors. This event has been going for decades and used to be held at Gosford showgrounds. However it outgrew the facilities there and moved to Wyong, where is it now held in February or March each year. It included stands and displays from Andrews Communications, Emtronics, Vertex (Yaesu), WICEN, the WIA (Wireless Institute of Australia) the Kurrajong Radio Museum and the Military Radio club, to mention just a few off the top of my (somewhat hazy) head. There were even examinations for Amateur Radio licenses being conducted at the show. Plus a electronics car boot sale and flea market that has to be the best in the southern hemisphere.

Nice job. I missed Wyong this year. At least the video showed me a little bit. Thankyou.

@MrBushwacker1976 Glad you enjoyed it, Greg. Next time around I will try and do a better job... and include some of the displays and stalls that I missed. 73 David vk2dmh

@vk2sd Thanks, Jaye. There was nothing official about the video... just me and a pocket videocam. It was fun shooting the video, but there was a lot of other stuff I missed as well. Hardly a balanced view, but I got hot and tired. I bought a few some goodies while I was there. No radios this year, but a few radio odds and ends at the flea market. 73, David, vk2dmh.
