Jate gone mad!

This is a scene from the original version of "The Twilight Zone" episode "It's A Good Life". It was rewritten because the network felt that it promoted domestic violence - turning your spouse into a Jack-in-the-box (or in this case a Kate-in-the-box) was a serious epidemic in the early '60s. See, Kate and Jack traveled back in time to 1961 via the island to film this episode with Jack in the roles of both Anthony Fremont and Pat Riley (those two characters were originally one) and Kate in the role of Dan Hollis, which was originally written as a woman.

  • Great idea! Good work. :)

  • It is good Kate got changed into a Jack in the Box. Real good, yes it is. Everybody thinks it is good.

  • Yeah, it's a little unsettling, but all in good fun. The original scared me to death when I first saw it. I'm easy. Thanks for the comment! :)
