Yes, this song is supercheesy. I love singing it though.

I own Lips but rarely play it, mostly because there are no other instruments, nobody else I know in real life wants to sing with me, and I don't like the interface as much as Rock Band's. I also find that the vocal reduction doesn't work that well (you can often hear the original singer quite a bit even with Hard Vocal Reduction). However, this game does offer more pop songs like this that can be really fun to sing, but would (and should) probably never be released as DLC for Rock Band.

Don't ask me about the scoring system in this game, because I don't understand it too well myself yet. I know that you fill the yellow meter above the words by singing accurately, and when it gets full, a drawing of a person striking a pose appears. If you strike the pose successfully (or just wave the microphone in that general direction) the game makes everything all extra glowy and you get more points. You also get little bonuses for vibrato, accurate pitch, good rhythm, technique, and more, but honestly when I get those I don't know why half the time. ;)

I really want this game. You did a great job. You're right about the song selection. These shouldn't be released for Rock Band but I would love to sing them regardless, lol.

I personally don't get the interface either, but Lips is the better "party game" IMHO. Who wouldn't wanna sing fun pop songs like that one, or join in on some wireless controller tambourine? xD
