If someone wanted to do a fight scene for youtube like this how much would it cost? like is it lower then 100 dollars or higher then 1000?

@Smoogle it all depends. If the performers and crew are willing to work for free and you have access to free camera equipment then your only costs are props, travel, locations, food... That was the case for us on this film. The whole thing probably cost less than $500 but it's a bit of a high concept idea. If you just want to shoot two guys fighting it shouldn't cost you anything. Look at the "Walk to Work" playlist on the riotactaction channel, those cost us nothing to do.

awesome flick - where can you find people in toronto that are willing to do fight scenes for a short film - all I really see is a bunch of guys from the states but barely anyone from toronto,mississauga.

Team 2X is another insanely talented team that I can't recommend enough, they do some pretty high profile work (2xentertainmentDOTcom)

There's others out there for sure, you just gotta know where to look ;)

@eospictures awesome thank you for the response - great when fellow torontonians help each other out :) I contacted 2x and asked if they could assist me sometime and they said yeah they have people that would be willing to help - sweet meeting such nice people - do you have any tips for filming a fight scene? I want to try to get something like jason bourne style

@Gamer2Gamers far too much to write here. Try to find Jackie Chan's documentary "My Stunts" and the "Ultimate Fights" DVD which has a special feature where they give good instructions on the basics. If you're going for a Bourne style please don't stick the camera in close and shake the hell out of it! Those fights have great choreo but we miss 75% of what's going on. Back up enough to let us see the action and hire good, trained performers. Other than that just study movies that you like!

@SlowItDownTributes only if there is a really specific sound that we need and I can't find elsewhere, but mostly our sound effects are all found. I spent years building a library from many different sources: libraries that I had access to during film school, websites, video games, movies...
