I don't have a male, but for the past few days, my female has been sticking her rear up while softly chirping. Does this mean she's in heat? Should I expect unfertilized eggs soon?

Yes that sounds like mating behavior. You may possibly get unfertile eggs.
Good luck with that, let her go through the motions of nesting, because if you
take away her eggs she will just lay more to replace them. :)
