I know a more productive use of capital that can help that kid get up those stairs. It's called an elevator. Now that's worth investing in, especially since the building needs to have universal access anyway.

I had the portable wheelchair lift but it´s not that practical, because it´s quite big (not to mention slow...) and the battery doesn´t endure very long....
