You see, hit detection is different in Killzone than COD/Battlefield. It requires you to actually HIT your target, unlike Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3.
In Battlefield 3, you can be off your target by 5 feet with your frag rounds and still kill, and in MW3 you can be off target all together.
