We were also in a Agni Airlines Donear as it attempted this very unnerving descent into Lukla. Reminded me of the Stuka Dive Bombers! Even if you try and hold your nerves whilst in the aircraft, the most natural reaction is to clutch the seat in front of you and try to figure how close you are to the approaching runway. Once it's over, you heave a sigh of relief and then look to scamper out of the aircraft to collect your bags!

  • @BloodprinceDC its very well known in the aviation world

  • Shortest taxi in the world.

  • @hearts76100 they have a lot of spare money available from not-building-an-airport so they should be OK :)

  • I would shit my pants

  • @Nickuncle That's right, flying is a radical thing in that if something does go wrong, it's probably goodbye. Bee doubles, however are making the road like that too (unfortunately). Skateboarders who are skillful can surf fences and hand-rails with ease and it's safe too (unless something goes wrong). And they really get hurt badly! See my channel for safe aircraft design. On engine failure I'd rather be in a chopper than a plane (especially a Glass-Air or Lankair).

  • @Justwantahover They also say that sharks are very unlikely to attack you but we don't swim into the deep waters of Australian surfing beaches.

  • @Nickuncle I'll just go with the statistics (and it depends on the crash rate at that airport). Statistics say its 14 time s afer in a plane than a car (even when the number of cars, planes and accidents are considered). They say that (when it comes to the bottom-line) the most dangerous part of flying is the drive to the airport (average airport, that is).

  • @Justwantahover Right....100,000,000 cars in the U.S. ever day vs. 20 planes at Lukla and a few hundred thousand worldwide. There's a reason for the crash rate being lower. And what I wrote was a joke. Nonetheless you'd have to be a complete moron to look at that airstrip and say you'd rather take off and land on it repeatedly instead of driving across the United States.

  • @Nickuncle Aii U mugs don't realize that it's much more dangerous in a car (do u go on about road safety like u go on about aviation being a kille)r. It's 14 times safer in a plane. A car is more dangerous because it's "landing" all the time. And u don't have planes passing u and missing by two-feet (every few seconds) do u.

  • Land=Heart Attack; Hospital Call= "Mom I did it."
