Dude, thanks so much. I bought a used 1005-HAB off of Craigslist and couldn't figure out the DOS instructions from Asus's site for the life of me. Kept telling me file not found on the USB stick. This worked like a charm.

hello, thanks for the video. I got 1005ha from a friend, and I would like to update bios. I go on the steps that you told on video but at 7:50 it sucks for me. it just says "reading file" no more I waited for 30 min. but still the same. do you have any suggest for me?

many thanks, i was upgrading my sisters EEEPC 1101HA to windows 7 and it required the latest bios for Hotkeys to function. i had no idea ALT+F2 needed to be used as my older 1000HE was able to update via Asus update :)

Is it the same with a 1015PN-PU27 Eee pc as well please ?
.
I just got the net-book from amazon and would like to update the BIOS without bricking it, do you recommend it ?

is this also working with eee 1008HA?
I have installed the BIOS version 1601. the lastest version. Now I get this on my screen:
Intel UNDI, PXE-2.1 (build 082)
Copyright (C) 1997-2000 Intel Corporation
For Atheros PCIE Ethernet Controller v2.0.0.4(03/03/09)
CLIENT MAC ADDR: 90 E6 BA 2D AC 83 GUID: 808E6B78-E50C-4681-3838-90E6BA2DAC83
PXE-E51: No DHCP or proxyDHCP offers were received.
PXE-M0F: Exiting Intel PXE ROM

@tsrosefire This video demonstrates the update process for any BIOS revision up to 1401 (see video description). I highly doubt the upgrade process has changed, but I can't offer you any advice as I have not messed with the BIOS since I installed the 1401 revision.
Some quick Google-ing may reveal more about your situation. Your machine is trying to boot over a network connection, and this is not what you want. Try removing PXE or network boot or something along those lines from the boot order.

i just seen your video on how to flash the bios. I know about the Alt+F2. About 18 months ago, I had a brand new hard drive installed into my Asus EEE PC 1005HA. My question is, If I download this file, to a USB. What will most likely happen?? Since I have nothing at all on my PC, ie: no drivers etc. Will it be ok to downlaod this file to my computer to reboot my EEE PC??? Because when I trun on my PC, it says that I need a reboot disk or program...

@tsrosefire Simply downloading the BIOS update will not harm your computer in any way. If you /misuse/ the update, that's when you could do some damage. It sounds like you're having boot issues, though, which I doubt updating the BIOS will fix.

I need some help, I upgraded my Eee PC 1005 AH from XP to 7 Ultimate. Well, now I can't install the BIOS file from my CD 'coz it's only for the XP. Do you have any link or file that is suitable for the Windows 7 ultimate so I can use the Eee Pc functions again? and most likely the WiFi and Bluetooth connectors too.. Thanks and Great vid..

@melvin027 Follow the link in the video description to the ASUSTek Drivers page for the 1005HA. Select Windows 7 as your operating system and then download and install all the drivers you need (WiFi, Bluetooth, etc.).
