I think it looks great. Jaguar needs a modern looking car like this, otherwise they won't survive. It's that simple.

I am happy that TATA are now the owners of Jag, They will improve the company immensely

That new Jag engine sure is going to be great. Finally, they'll have a modern 5 liter V8! Something to kick German ass. As for Ford, I think their losses, however insignificant as they may be, are just advertised more. You don't see them saying GM has finally made a profit. IMO Chrysler is dead.

Ford is actually doing better then GM or Chrysler. Ford has posted a small profit while GM has posted a huge loss so far this year. GM is also suffering because several of its new models arnt selling as well as expected.
Ford is also getting payed by Tata to help keep Jag engine production going
So Ford is far from dead and is in fact alive and well

yeah. Ford helped but since it's dying, i didn't want to see 2 such great companies go with them.

Actually Jag was lucky it was under Fords umbrella. Ford gave them money and technical support. Fords ownership of Aston also benifited Jag as Aston payed Jag for V8 engines and in return lent some of there people to aid Jag. Ford did well to Jag and LR and Im kinda sad to see them leave but Tata bank account is bigger and more money is always good

IM so happy. I hate Ford and it's good that Jaguar and land rover "escaped".

Tata Motors is one of the largest companys in the world and they have billions to spend if need be. Mr Tata thinks Jag and Land Rover are the grandest rides ever created. Thats mostly because of Englands past involment in India and most older Indians think everything English is good
looks good...I like it. The rising gear selector and rotating vents just seem pointless things to go wrong though.

I agree that those are not crucial things but I think they add a touch of technology which does not damage the whole but eventually help to create a nice contrast between history and future.
Of course in the assumption that there are no issues with those ;-)

Apparently the designer of the new XF was previously employed by Aston Martin. Hence the similarity between the two cars. Though quite a few respondents to this thread have criticised the new XF, it is recognised by most of the experts as a novel addition to the existing design standards in the industry. On that basis alone, the XF deserves recognition.

Right. Ian Callum was an Aston Martin person before.
The XF is a big jump in the future and a big change in the design so it does not surprise me that some people still needs time to get familiar with that. Also it is a car that has to be seen and touched in reality. Most of all the interior are way ahead than anything else and the outside will make anybody else old. Sales are already verryyy good
