I use a piece of non-skid shelf liner under my Mother Marion kick spindle.  Works like a charm and completely portable for spinning in my local cafe....

That was fascinating to watch! I enjoyed it. I would put rubber feet on it if i used it much on the tile floor, i think it would help keep it in place. just a thought.
