I spotted this small buck, grunted 3 times, and he came within 10 yards of my blind

  • Good for you, let em grow a little. I'm headed up to Rapid River (go every year) on the 9th for muzzleloader...gotta fill a doe permit at least and set a few traps and predator hunt at night....shot a nice big male bobcat up there 2 years ago. Nice country up there...looking forward to it.

  • Yeah I sure love it up here, I love to predator hunt too. Good Luck!

  • Was waiting for something a little bigger...

  • @hubbars5 shoot a doe, you're potentially killing 3. Her and her 2 young ones

  • @WrestlingGiant Then shoot a doe

  • @M1NDC0N7R0L Not everyone does, the revolution is coming. People are learning to let the young ones go.

  • this deer had good potential, a big body, good choice letting him grow up

  • Yeah, there are large deer in michigan, but most of the deer that I see harvested are not shooters in my book. That is great that you guys are practicing QDMA in your area and hopefully you can get enough people on board. Good luck and safe hunting.

Not everyone in MI shoot little bucks, mostly firearm hunters. I live near Grand Rapids and am an avid bow hunter and I have shot many bucks over 100 inches and have let a lot of 1.5 year old bucks like in this video go. A lot of guys in my area practice QDMA and the word is getting out more. If someone needs meat, there is no reason they can't shoot a doe instead of a dink buck like this. Cool video but not a shooter buck for another couple years. Let em go and grow!

  • @M1NDC0N7R0L that is partly true, but they dont get to like 20+ point because they don't have enough food here in michigan. I would not have shot it though, it's so small i would take 6 point+.

  • Nice body, but young buck. I think that you are the only hunter in mi. that wouldn't have shot him. EVERYONE IN MI. shoots little bucks. that is why there are very few big boys. nice vid.

  • What city is this in?
