I think you have the right sound for the era --absolutely sweeping ROMANTIC.
The soundtracks I have heard always have a LOT of vibrato on the violin solos and in the higher registers otherwise and the FRENCH HORNS and the mid-brass and sometimes the harp.
You got this dead on. I don't know why you didn't win. I wish I could hear your ENTIRE score, I bet it would be fabulous!
P.S. I am a former violinist with classical and mariachi training.
Hey, this wasn't planned, but but Jess Murphy playing the title role in Greta May has an uncanny resemblance to Greta Garbo in Flesh and the Devil, that kind of pouty, shrug of the shoulders look. Take a look at "Greta May" and you'll see what I mean.
Hi, I like your video clip and have rated it as awesome. Please view my clip of some rare 1930's movie star cards, including Greta Garbo, Clark Gable, Mae West, Will rogers, Carole Lombard, Bette Davis and many more
i only like her so much because i share a birthday with her--not in years--just the month and date--and because she was a great screen presence

I think soundtracks take out the beauty of silent films.
