Nick Drake cover we recorded in November of 2005. Getting the 5/4 time and singing down was tough as well as trying to figure out Harry Robinson's string arrangements.

"Nick Drake Sings behind the beat on this

song which is why many find it difficult. However there's no reason why it can't be sung in normal time ! I've never heard a version of this - sung in normal time.

Everyone thinks that it has to be sung behind the beat - as Nick does it, but I'd love to hear a Version of it sung - in time with the normal rythm and beat.

Thanks! Surprisingly enough, I wasn't too far off Nick's age when I recorded this. I had just turned 19 and I think Nick recorded it when he was 20 or 21 (my age now, ahem.)

At first the off-tune viola was off-putting. But for this great Drake song it actually works - adds a very human dimension - we are all delicate and imperfect.

i have to tell you that i'm truly impressed. i almost never like covers, let alone of an artist i'm so taken with that there are no words to describe it. however, i love your gentle approach, yet precision with with guitar picking. and to be honest, there is something very endearing about the imperfection of the viola. i just love this, thank you SO much!
