@trufuknplaya the movie was kinda made for the people who read the manga since the movie stays much more faithful to the manga (which by the way was awful)
the anime went on its own and made something great

Now I get what your talking about, Death and Rebirth, they cut out a lot of things so they could fit all 26 episodes into one movie and add some new footage, End of Evangelion was set after episode 26, SEELE attacks NERV and NERV fight back, resulting in the biggest case of mindfuck I've ever seen.

End of Evanglion wasn't a remake, it was a conclusion to Neon Genesis Evangelion.

the movie was a total abomination. its erratic, abridged, non-linear, stupid, and just should never have been made. the actual show itself is amazing

@theyworld no i love anime. I draw it every day, I am obsessed with it. And the movie had higher quality animation than the shows. The part of the movie that I have a problem with is the dialogue and modified plot. It is horrendous, it makes no sense! They take great characters and make them totally aimless and retarded. I guess its just what happens when you take a 26 episode masterpiece and condense it into an hour and a half

u do know they've made like 2 remakes of the series right?
They made the "End of Evangelion" two episodes
To this day, they are making the 1.0 to 4.0 series
Each one comes out every 3 years or so
Eva 1.0 You are [Not] Alone and Eva 2.0 You Can [Not] Advance are already out [came out just Q3 last year]
Eva 3.0 is dubbed Quickening or Q.. wait another 2 and a half years for that =]
