The history of climate science: Human caused (anthropogenic) global warming (AGW) began in 1824 when the greenhouse effect was discovered through the 1950's, when the US military confirmed that the basic physics were sound when they were examining the upper atmosphere to understand better ballistic missile flight. Written & narrated by John P. Reisman. Reviewed by Spencer Weart (American Institute of Physics, Ret.) http://www.aip.org/history/climate; written & narrated by John P. Reisman

  • I wasnt talking about youtube-users..

  • @cypress1337 Scientists are skeptics - the youtube denialists are not true skeptics. Skepticism requires rational discourse, inquiry and a critical examination of the evidence. Putting dummies into the picture is not balanced.

  • Yo nice vid man, I made something similar but I included some skeptics too just for more balance and better timescale.

  • @cthulhu11111111 Thank you. I really don't think that I could explain the 'history' and the 'physical science basis' in a single minute ;)

  • @keithmlarsen

    its called a "climate minute", which is surprisingly restricted to exactly a minute long. What you are asking for is something like the IPCC Working Group I Fourth Assessment Report titled "The Physical Science Basis"

  • @keithmlarsen Of course you did not contact me to allow me to answer your questions (as I suggested). So you choose continued ignorance. The video is about the history of modern climate science, not data. Your questions require more in depth answers. For data please contact me through OSS Foundation or CP web sties.

    Your 'blabber' is a disservice to reason. As I said, you clearly now nothing to very little about climate science. Study climate science first, then try posting again.

  • Look, the video did nothing but spurt events, then said that there are floods, droughts, melting ice etc... It said nothing scientific at all. If you want people to believe the theories, you have to illustrate causation, not, as you're side often does, just blabber on about events. This video is not meant for an intellectual crowd and you know it. You conveniently went from the data of your position to the conclusion, without so much as mentioning any part of the experiment-

  • @keithmlarsen "You must think we're completely ignorant!" - We don't have to guess, your other posts prove it. Admit it, you have never heard of Fourier and have no clue what the folloing formula means, right?

    RF=5.35*ln(c2/c1)

    You're no different to the creationist crowd, you're proud of your anti-intellectualisim and your not going to let those silly scientists stop lobbyists and politicians leading you around by the nose.

  • Thanks for posting. People who deny the properties of CO2 worked out by Fourier are like creationists. If you follow their argument to it's logical conclusion they are denying that spectroscopy works and thus saying we don't know anything about the composition of the cosmos. Another logical conclusion of their denial is that the QM laws governing absorbtion and emmision of photons is wrong therefore we don't know why fire glows and how or how it creates heat.

    "You must think we're completely ignorant!"

    We do now
