House Fans

Sync mode Cwejman VCO-2RM to Metasonix R51. OSC1 (sine) goes to audio input, OSC2 (sine) goes to distortion input. Plan B M15 sine goes to other distortion input. Cwejman PH-4 modulates all three, and OSC2 pitch. Cwejman VCO-6 amplitude modulated with self oscillating MMF-1, through VCEQ, then audio panning the R51 output. Percussion is two outputs of the Doepfer A-117 ring modded with A-143-3, sent to Make Noise QMMG, and one audio pans the other. Sequencing is the usual A-160/161, Plan B ASR, M14, etc. This patch was made to accompany the sound of the house fans.

@synthead Just to set the record straight, there is no 60Hz hum coming from the R51. The R51 is a wonderfully lush device and free of any problems. Any sounds you hear here are purely intentional.

Hi have you seen the product description on the metasonix site? Subjectively it is a lush and subtle effect. It comes alive with audio rate modulation of the distortion input. Modulation of the input level also yields interesting results. It can also be used as a straight VCA. Digital reproduction doesn't capture the sound very well. It sounds cleaner and fatter in real life.

Hi follow the link on my profile to ovi. I have some more R51 demos there. Check the one called r51demo. It's a long drone which shows the depth of the sound more than the noise. It shows some noise too (more like in this vid). Again, the sound is cleaner and nicer in real life.
