well the thing is A clockwork orange is not the only film that touches the subject matter of gang violence, there are other classic films that are expressed in the same way like A clockwork orange (e.g Goodfellas and Trainspotting)

btw: My favorite Film from S. Kubrick is "Clockwork Orange" 1971.

Hard to say, 2001 and ACO are both near the top of my list of favorite films.
