Hello, my name is Danielle Alexandra and I would like to Present to you:
Under Federal Law, How I'm Advocating Medicinal Marijuana Use in the United States.
Did you know that you may be sent to prison for possession of over two pounds of pot, federally?
And don't even get me started with the state laws. Most state laws are more strict than the federal law and with the 'Compassionate Act' it is not the province of the state courts to enforce federal laws. (Funny how 'compassionate' makes that act sound so friendly and helpful, but really many people probably end up in state prisons because of it).
Anyways! Under federal law, why and how I'm advocating medicinal marijuana use.
Oh, please do graze the sources before hand, I wouldn't want you to be ill informed of the written in stone, punishable by law intricacies I'm gathering my argument from:

I would like to be an advocate for legal medicinal marijuana use and not give the appearance of an illegal pot obtaining, smoking, and dealing criminal. While explaining to right wing law-upholding, gun toting officials the medicinal benefits of the plant I do not believe reeking of pot would be beneficial for my argument. That is the reason why I have discontinued smoking and participating in illicit drug activities, and have begun to advise others of my stance.
The law does not let convicted criminals vote in presidential elections, it is a federal fact. What makes anyone believe that they can fight a court case for changing the marijuana laws when all a Judge has to say is search and seize their cannabis stash?
You could have the most clean cut argument in the world while on the stand. You could have scientific proof, you could have witnesses, you could even demonstrate, but your argument will be dismissed. A court of law will dismiss any case if the defendant already broke the laws of the court before they walked in. The judge and any good lawyer would say exactly this, while holding up two pounds of weed, "Those facts are all fine and dandy but what about this we found on you."
If you want to fight the law seriously, I say abide by their rules on their turf to keep the argument legitimate. If you're fighting for what you believe than you should not have to break the laws of the federal government to keep your notion alive. If they uphold any sense of Greek honor they would know their 'enemy' or 'challenger' is to be respected for even considering obeying their rules in their arena.
So how am I, under federal law, advocating medicinal marijuana use? By not participating or involving myself in the illegal actions associated with marijuana use
People have to be noticed and given a chance. The government usually uses excuses to veto a bill, drop a case, and arrest someone. If you and the people make a statement and give the government no other alternative other than to listen that is something that will make a difference.
