I first heard this wonderful symphony over 30years ago on a recording by Paul Kletski/OSR which remains my favourite interpretation. As much as I admire and love the symphonies of Beethoven, Brahms etc. its Rachmaninov I come back to for a musical experience like no other, especially this symphony which I never tire of with its ability to transport me to another magical world - thanks Rach. you're the best, no doubt about it.
