I was there, it's fantastic to have this video to look back upon! Many thanks for posting.

Beryl Marriot plays a most beautiful and haunting piano solo on Dave Swarbick's Smiddyburn album. It's called ."Sean O'Dwyer of the Glen'. I have it on vinyl. Can anyone please upload it to YouTube as a tribute to Beryl Marriot? RIP Beryl that piano solo will haunt me for ever

How pissed is Maart?

Sorry to hear about Beryl Marriot - she was very patient with me when she gave a folk keyboard workshop at the Beverley Folk Festival - I learnt a tremendous amount in a few short hours.

@danensis1 Alas, she passed away on July 30th - Swarb and Chris Leslie played at her funeral.

Beryl Marriot on YouTube, with exception of this clip,is conspicuous by her absence. Let's have more footage of this wonderful and unique musician.

For those that don't know, dear Beryll Marriott passed away at the weekend. A unique talent and hugely influential on the world of folk rock. Whittakers Patent Remedy was Ian Sanderson (author Archers Anarchists), Martin Vincent (now Feast of Fiddles), Paul Winsor, Chris Collingwood (celebrated historic artist). Ian Cutler often guested / dep'd, Jon Duffy replaced Martin for a while, Paul went to the USA replaced by John Underwood (Feast of Fiddles). John Whittaker set up The Aldbrickham Band

@crabbers55. Hi Hugh. Thanks for the clarification. I could have sworn it was members of FC in the band, with you calling. My memory is obviously failing me. Thanks also for the clarification of the location; I had just assumed it was Ian A' property. Who was in Whittakers Patent Remedy at that time then?
Good lord how young they / we all look! Just a point of detail, it was Saturday 25th February 1989. I do believe the JT album launch was actually musically provided for by my local combo Whittakers Patent Remedy but I could be thinking of another similar event at that farm actually the home of Jason and Debbie Abbott in Stokenchurch. Jason was Ian's partner in a sporting gun shop enterprise.

Thanks for the date clarification! It sounds to me like you were there - crabbers = Crabtree? Or have I said too much? :)
