I wasn't alive when the Merry-Go-Round were around, but I just bought their CD compilation "Listen Listen: The Definitive Collection" this week and I'm thrilled with it. I fell in love with their sound after hearing them on Nuggets, and the CD doesn't disappoint. I really wasn't expecting to find much of them on YouTube, so THANK YOU for this!

@Picardy I feel sorry for anyone who imagines he's demonstrating his hipness by virtue of the music he disdains. FWIW, I was there, too; I was 15 when "Listen! Listen!" came out and I loved it then. I turned 59 years old today (coincidentally, it's also Emitt Rhodes' birthday) and I love it just as much now. You could hardly be more mistaken if you believe that only 9-year-olds liked this song. Of course, you apparently believe that your individual tastes were universal, so consider the source.
