The mystery surrounding the arms cash impounded this week from the premises of a Narok based businessman continued to deepen even as it became clear that a huge part of the cash originated from the administration police camp in Embakasi. So far police are holding more than 10 people including a trader from Nanyuki who are believed to have been involved in an intricate illegal arms trade. Members of parliament took the government to task over the incident claiming it pointed to clear malfunctioning and lack of accountability within the security forces. Some legislators demanded to know why action had not been taken against the administration police commandant who is the final authority in authorizing movements of arms within the force. All this happened as businessman Munir Ismail in whose premises the ordnance was discovered was arraigned in court together with his wife and a senior Administration police officer.
