This was a field trip my Historical Preservation class took in the fall of 2007. We walked from El Centro to the Magnolia Theater using the underground tunnel system.
even though the tunnels take away business from the streets and i still think the tunnels are pretty cool to be in but i wish ground level and the tunnels would work off each other and both benefit Dallas
I used to work at Lincoln Plaza @ 500 N. Akard. We used to eat lunch down in the tunnels just about every day. There's an entrance to them inside Thanks Giving Square as well as many of the building's in that area.
Way cool and well done! I have lived in Dallas most of my life (almost 50 years) and had not been in the underground Dallas until a couple of years ago.
It is quite fascinating and you have done an outstanding job of presenting it.
u guys should see new york. i think your "historical preservation" class would have a blast here. Actually all throughout the tristate area. Oh and whats up with the music??
Fascinating! I wish they had something like this in Denver! Maybe I need to take a vacation in Dallas!
