But Anime/Manga isnt life, its ok as a hobby.

But just like other addictions, one must be careful.

No offense but only freaks and geeks would take anime that far! I mean it's more Like a past time or a hobby than a lifestyle or religion. I admit it would be fun to talk about it and cosplay

Plus blame America if there were some decent shows playing that could interest everyone maybe half the people wouldn't be caught up in anime... Well I wouldn't say that lol

same like marquise02119. i like it and i still have a normal life. i cosplay too, but i think the coplaying part comes from me loving to play dress up when i was little.

to me when your love for anime goes too far is when you stay up for days in a row eating junky foods that make you fat.

taking it even further would be watching hentai. the ones who do that normally turn into furries or really creepy old men.

People will always take things too far with any hobby interest or genre but they don't make up or represent the entire fanbase, besides it's better to have variety, from the casual anime viewers to cosplayers and collectors. just so long as it doesn't take over their life people can be as much of an anime fan as they want, cosplay and fanfics are fine so long as it doesn't control their life, no different than people who love American shows like Star Wars so long as it doesn't go too far.
