  • The sound is good, but I just heard another played too slow like this & it lacks the intensity of the original - I just went back to compare. The sharpness, the crispness of the sound is missing. The swing feel is sluggish.

    And the BIGGEST thing missing - Forte-Piano on all the instruments, attacking EACH not initially & backing off on volume immediately. Ray Conniff's perfection of the forte-piano style is what made him world famous. I think these guys COULD be as good as Barnet's band!
