excelente intubacion, era por fractura cervical, o toracica? estaba con fatiga ventilatoria? seguramente, fue el momento adecuado, por urgencia? que tubo O.T. usaste?,
se aprecia que rectificaste la laringe con la mano izquierda, excelente maniobra. , es buena enseñanza. es buena tecnica cuando falta un fibroscopio.

to answer your question it depends on the patient , he might have had trauma to his airway which caused swelling to where you cant tube him orally , or he may have a gag reflex from hell and wont tolerate a tube. His gcs looks less than 8 so in some way shape or form he needs to be intubated.

why do they intubate while people are awake and can breathe by them selves and how do they choose to intubate through the nose or mouth?

Very good but why not a fibroscope looking at the oxygen saturation on monitor at the end.

You guys ever used a BAAM? Makes this much easier. Makes a whistle sound as you get closer to the Trachea. Little red cap that goes on the top of the ET tube. I recommend it.
