To speak about politics, we must talk about politicians. And speaking about politicians, wealth and pretty women are sure to follow. Today, the tides are turning, even handsome men become objects of desire for politicians. He or she has become deciding figures in society, who takes the direct approach to be involved in and to create a beautiful peaceful world. "Queer as Folk Beijing" exclusively interviewed John J. Duran, the queer mayor of West Hollywood, and his partner, on their visit to China. Their story is very much a Hollywood tale. John J. Duran lives openly as a gay man and as an HIV positive individual. He has always been very involved in the development of queer culture and queer rights. He came to Beijing exclusively to be a part of the opening ceremony for the Beijing LGBT Culture and Activity Center and to officiate the wedding of Chinese gay couple.

He was not superior in his attitude, just American.

It seems to be a cultural issue.

Anyways its very true, the US has huge issues when it comes to poverty and discrimination.

The vast majority are living from one pay check to another, and also use too many loans.

They have more than 3 millions of children on streets, 1.3 are LGBT teenagers who are kicked out by homophobic parents.

Homophobia in the US is religious, in China it is nationalistic.

Some part of US might be fully developed, but many parts of US very backwards and conservative, fundamentally against homosexuality, why does not John Duran mention a word about it. He was very bullying hospitality Chinese presenter with his American "superior" attitude. If I was there, I would ask him to have better manner before talk.
