it can be used as standalone and as plugin, it has a bunch of different plugin extensions so it can be used in a lot of daws. hope that helps

well kore is cool but I really would like a controller to be small as possible so because space in my studio is really important. I guess they could have done it with just the black part sized without the fancy aluminum top and bottom. Anyway its a cool thing!

So if i put some preset in the hardware then unplug the computer, can i use it with a midi controller like a midi keyboard in?
-
can be used stand alone!
-
Yes It can be used as a Stand alone instrument.. That's why they call it the " Super Instrument"

Can you use the Kore 2 as a Sequencer, like FL Studio and reason's piano roll. And just make the beat in Kore 2, without having to add it as a plugin in a sequencer like FL?
-
The Kore 2 controller doesn't have audio inputs, the kore 1 controller did but they removed them in v2. There is a usb connection, MIDI in/out, 2 footswitch inputs, and 2 pedal inputs. Hope this helps

i know Kore 2 has a step sequencer... but can it be used as a stand alone application or is it just a fancy plug-in???
what im asking is... can you program drums with the kore 2 and layer sounds on top to make a song from scratch?
-
with kore 2 can i plug in my keyboard/midi controller to my external soundcard with midi port and use the sounds from kore 2 with my keyboard/midi controller and tweak them with the kore controller
-
is the Kore 2 hardware interface also a Audio Interface? And what are the various connections available on the unit, monitor out etc?
Yes. You should read the review in issue 03 of Producer's Edge Magazine.
