  • sick recording what kind of camera did you use?

  • @AR6NO6LD6 casio exilim

  • If anyone reads the lyrics to this song it sounds like someone is making a sacrifice unto sebek or sebek is killing people and doing things with their bones

I want to write about similair topics but i cannot find anything that is even close to what Karl sanders writes about

Does anyone know what his source of information is? or where i can go to study similair things on the net?

Where does he get this information for these songs from?

  • Much of the lyrical content is based on Karl's interest in Egyptology and other ancient Middle Eastern cultures, such as Mesopotamia and he is also inspired by the writings of H. P. Lovecraft.

  • @DiscipleOfRa your best option would be looking for books on the egyptian culture at your nearest bookstore.

  • @FlammableDead Alright, that sounds more then resonable. My response just came from years long study of Egyptology. I am unsure what HP Lovecraft etc says on the subject, knowing that he used existing names in his books.

The actual Sebek had his cult around the Fayyum oasis, from Middle Kingdom forth. You can get most info on his doings from the Book of the dead (the version by Ani, that is preserved in the British Museum has a good passage about him).

  • @ImmortalityMazrigos My sources are the booklet from Anihilation of the Wicked, where Karl Sanders states what i just wrote. I'd like to think he researches before coming up with these lyrical concepts, hence i put more stock on what he says then some random youtube commenter.

  • @FlammableDead

No he's not. Egyptians didn't even have a concept of evil. If anything the only thing that comes close would be Seth.

Sebek was a very benevolent deity, in charge of having good crops.

  • @FlammableDead

I have no idea where you got that info, but I suggest you check your sources :)

  • @marauder622 I was kidding dudebro. He is arguably the best death metal drummer alive.

  • thank you KxK for making Karl Sanders dank ass double neck guitar!

  • Sebek was the principle crocodile God in ancient Egypt, regarded as a personification of the powers of evil and death.

The Nile crocodile is one of the very few animals on our planet that actively hunts and preys upon humans with specific intent, as opposed to incidental.
