I thought this movie was just awesome. I'm no stranger to the hmong culture cuz I used to hang out with them when I was in high school. Clint Eastwood and everyone in the movie did a great job.

@hmongboi206 Of course, no one can say that there is no such thing as a Hmong gang or a Filipino gang or a white gang. There may be a Hmong person in a territorial gang, or just a gang of Hmong people. That's not to say that the gang represents these people. Gangbangers may think that they are afiliated with race, but their race is not afiliated with them.

@hmongboi206 It's not about the Hmong people, per say, however. The movie portrays gangbangers from a few ethnic backgrounds, but is centered around a gang that consists of Hmong people. The movie isn't racist either, it only shows how despicable lazy gangbangers are, and lifts up the responsible, hard working citizens that work for their Gran Torino instead of steal it.
