Though I was in love before
And then you moved in next door
Pretty blue eyes, pretty blue eyes

All the guys from the neighborhood
Keep saying that you're sure good
With your blue eyes, pretty blue eyes

Saw you from my window
My heart skipped a be-e-e-eat
Gonna sit by your doorstep
So that I can me-e-e-eet

Pretty blue eyes, please come out today
So I can tell you what I have to say
That I love you, love you
Pretty blue eyes

Saw you from my window
My heart skipped a be-e-e-eat
Gonna sit by your doorstep
So that I can me-e-e-eet

Pretty blue eyes, please come out today
So I can tell you what I have to say
That I love you, love you
Pretty blue eyes

Pretty blue eyes
Pretty blue eyes
Pretty blue eyes

  • I think the original version should be sung by "Steve Lawrance"

  • Bringing us back those beautiful memories, thanks for posting. Just wondering, Zoundcracker, were you one of the band-players back then?

  • Zoundcracker, thanks so much for posting this. This is now my favorite version, can you please tell me if this is available on a cd? thank you-Roger

  • Go Teddy, you are great.

  • mmmmm nice version of the original. Thanks for the post.

  • I used to listen to Donny Osmond's version of this song way back in 1972/73. I thoroughly enjoyed the song even though I knew then it was only a cover version of the original by Steve Lawrence. Having listened to Robin's version just now, I could venture to say that this is a better sung version than Donny's. Nonetheless I still like this song, be it by Steve, Donny or Robin.

  • @yitfaye I know your post is 2 years old, but just in case you didn't already know about it, you can download "I Can't Grow Peaches On A Cherry Tree" by this group if you go to itunes and type in Teddy Robin and the Playboys as the artist. There are 50 songs by them you can pick from. Unfortunately Pretty Blue Eyes is NOT one of them. Good luck, I hope this was helpful to you/

  • WOW...I've never heard of this group but they are a new found favorite of mine.

  • Nice version.

  • 甘いね!
