I bought a pair of the Ferdelance boots last year - they are a bit tight fitting but fairly comfortable all the same.
One major problem - the mesh panels only lasted a few days - navy seals obviously never leave the beach......if they had they'd have realized that the first bramble patch they walked through was going to leave them with half their boot missing.
The fake leather they use on the other hand is super tough and totally hassle/maintenance free.

you ever seen black boots after a week in the snow and mud? Unless you break out the parade gloss, they aint very black ... in fact, they blend fairly well after a while hehe.

Do you think OTB's boots are really well put together and reliable?

Composite shank only, what about toe/heel? So new, in fact, that not many are on the website.
Hey guys, think about it, in temperate areas, in fact in most areas, in the winter the ground and surroundings are medium to dark brown. Why do shoemakers still insist on making black boots?
In the summer the brown would still blend in quite well. In fact a medium brown would work in arid areas as well. It certainly wouldn't stand out like the black.

There are still plenty of agencies that use black. Keep in mind OTB offers brown and other color variants on most of their footwear.
