@nixmix24 I agree with you somewhat. While I think it is important for women to feel comfortable in their sexuality and think of their genitals the way men do, there are better ways for us to do this. I'm guessing that's what you were saying to superblackchic?
-
@SuperBlackChic Not choice but what others say? Would you care to elaborate?
"What was so vulgar?" How about the part where they talk about what a vagina smells like? The little koochy snorcher? Reclaiming the word "cunt"? And then having the audience chanting it? Or the part where they said woman are empowered by prostitution, masturbation, and orgasmic chanting? That's not empowering, that's degrading and vulgar.

@Nixmix24 So wait........women shouldn't have abortion based on choice but what other's say? What was so vulgar?

I've never seen the Vagina Monologues and couldn't care less about it as play, but I agree that women in our culture are made to feel ashamed about their sexual organs. I personally struggled with this for many years. I thought that my organs were "dirty" and was afraid to touch them for any reason. I didn't even know what a labia was until I was 17.
But CBL would rather give strawman arguments than deal with reality.

Women who find their self worth in their pussy need to just start doing porn videos.

what garbage

Classy. Not that I really care about the vagina monologues, but having a rainbow colored bear being the "wrong" one, carries unfortunate implications.
On the internet, a low view count is justice served.

Please don't let this stupid computerised video thing catch on..
Hahahaha Amen.. That's all I can say. I'm all for women empowerment but come on.. You don't need to be vulgar to prove you're as good as a man or have an abortion to prove that you have control over "your body"... Feminists are a joke now and do more harm than good.

@ruthiezzou You do realize that domestic violence affects men just as much as women. Look up Erin Pizzey, the founder of the women's shelter movement in Britain.
