I've been a tad distracted from vidding lately. My husband and I are having a baby some time before Christmas. I've had a lot to do in relation to that, and other things have been going on as well. However, I'm not going anywhere - but I am super slow and whatnot. :)

- - -

Step One
#Make a video like this one. The video description should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love an icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
# If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
# Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in the video description so that the holiday joy will spread.
#Post your Wishlist Project video as a video response to this one so everyone can find the videos in one place.

Step Two
# Surf around Youtube to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
# If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. You don't need to claim that you're doing something for someone-if they get more than one of something they wanted, fantastic! Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special

My 2011 Wishlist:

1. Greeting cards. Message me for address, and let me know if you want one in return!
2. Care packages! I love mail, and especially packages. Something small, whether bought, or handmade, would make my day. :)
3. Children's books. Basically, I want people to join in my children's book exchange. I posted a video about it, so you can get info there.
4. A YouTube background. I've wanted one, and I was going to make it for myself, but I just don't have the time/energy/focus. I love Psych, Supernatural, Dexter... Walking Dead is another favorite this year. Heroes and Buffy are also favorites. :)
5. Artwork for the nursery. That's right, art for my baby's room. We haven't gotten around to getting anything, and I much prefer one-of-a-kind type things. The room is green and brown and has a monkey theme, but colorful things are good for wall decor. You can mail me something, or, you can send me a high-quality image that I can print/frame. If you make it, definitely remember to sign it! :)
6. Cloth diapers. Ok, not something internet-strangers are going to grant, but my one real "present" wish is this. We're cloth diapering, and I bought some, but I need more for when baby outgrows newborn-size. I have a whole huge list of the brands and whatnot that I want to try.
7. Recipes. Preferably ones you have actually tried! Bonus points if it is a family recipe. Dessert, meal, anything. However, I must note that I do not eat fish, or most meat. I only actually eat turkey and chicken as far as meat goes.
8. Blog assistance. Graphics, layout, proof-reader, motivator... anything. I'm bad at updating it, and I just can't seem to get any ideas about how I want it to look. It's a baby/family/diy/crafty/whatever kind of blog.
9. Baby things. Anything baby. I'm feeling overwhelmed and under-prepared, despite having all necessities really. It's probably pretty normal at this stage.
10. More Psych videos! I'm loving Psych more and more, but it's so under-editted.

Merry Christmas. :)
