Not that everyone knows what a Cape Leadwort is. I didn't/ But, 'tis one of Yang O-shi's lessons, so, it became mine also.
Trying hard. Lots to learn.
This was alot of fun.
Yang O-shi's book, "100 Flowers" is a liquid style tutorial book containing 238 pages of 100 flowers in easy see through lessons.
All you have to do after that is work out how the paint is sposed to be.
I am not fluent yet. But it's a good meditation at the days end.

Wow SOMEONE ELSE ALSO WATCHED MY LEADWORT.....

I worked hard on this, compositionally also AND I wanted a really cronky little sparrow.

And I guess no one knows what leadwort is.

Well, THIS FLOWER is it.

A viney thing.

The flower is really pretty but I think maybe the name puts people off or something, lol! Your sparrow looks like it's guarding the vine. It looks determined. :-)

I wanted a really woky sparrow. That contrasted with what otherwise might be seen as a real plants, so that it kept as a Chinese Painting.

If that makes sense. it did at the time. :o)

:) I AM Raggedy though I did have a ahir cut yesterday and I think she was a bit enthusiastic.

I looked like a groomed peacock when I was there, in the morning I looked lke Id been in a tornado.
