I had upper and lower jaw surgery about a week ago on 7/09/2010- today is 07/15/2010. Everything is going great! NO MORE UNDERBITE! If you have any questions about the surgery/ insurance, etc. -let me know, I'd be happy to answer them.
@MilezToGoFan- Discomfort from everything-being too weak to walk, swelling, burning sensation, etc. The IV was annoying, and because it was in for almost 3 days without being changed, and started to sting really bad when they put anything in it.
Why do you think you had so much pain? Most people say that it isn't very painful post-op because most surrounding face nerves are damaged. Good luck to you.
@Bindenfou - with most I guess that would be the case. However, much of my nerves were left with very little damage- something pointed out to my family in the waiting room, because I had quote "good nerves" (whatever that means). Add in my very low tolerance for pain, the swelling and constant pressure, and the discomfort and complete dependency of those around me for the first day or so, and not being able to eat anything solid- then yes, you may be able to understand a little better.
did the iv hurt??? what was the most painful part of jawsurgery?
plz answer!!!
