This is not overclocking. Overclocking is altering the clock frequency of the processor. The command you entered just has the OS send a continuous stream of the char 'y' to /dev/null which is a hack for blocking certain system messages in the terminal by redirecting them to a non existant place. This will not speed up your computer, it will infact do nothing for you at all except waste processing time. You misunderstand the purpose of this and this video is misleading and incorrect.
